Issues/Disposition: Plaintiff alleged she was driving her vehicle on Interstate 35 in San Antonio, Texas when a tractor-trailer owned and driven by defendants merged into her lane and hit the rear driver’s side of Plaintiff’s vehicle, sending her vehicle into a spin.  Plaintiff’s injuries were soft-tissue in nature.  Plaintiff sought to recover for pain and suffering, mental anguish, medical expenses and lost wages.  Under the facts and testimony of the witnesses, the defendant driver did not deny that he drove into Plaintiff’s lane and thus liability was not disputed.  Plaintiff demanded $500,000 to settle her claims.  The case was tried to a complete defense verdict.
