Defended Trucking Company in Suit Alleging Life Altering Injuries to Plaintiff after Accident with Driver

Issues/Disposition: This case arose from an accident involving the Plaintiff and the Defendant who was operating a 2000 white freight liner tractor-trailer rig which was owned by our other Defendant. As a result of the accident, plaintiff claimed cervical radiculopathy, diffuse cervical spinal stenosis, and diffuse lumbar stenosis which required a cervical discectomy and fusion at C5-6 and C6-7.  Plaintiff had also been diagnosed with subligamentous disc herniations at L4-L5 and L5-S1 and radicular discomfort into his legs especially on the left.  Plaintiff sought damages in excess of $1,000,000.  After a week-long trial, the jury delivered a complete defense verdict.
