Issues/Disposition: This case related to restoration work performed by the defendant, a well-known state-wide restoration company. Plaintiff alleged violations of the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices and Consumer Protection Statute, Breach of Contract, Common Law Fraud and Fraudulent Inducement, Breach of Implied Warranty and Good and Workmanlike Services resulting in damages in excess of $500,000. Despite the fact that our client’s liability was admitted, the jury awarded only $6,300 in economic damages.
