Issues/Disposition: Plaintiff alleged life altering injuries sustained as a result of falling down a flight of exterior stairs of an apartment building owned and managed by defendants.  The evidence showed that there were concerns with the design and construction of the stairs. Additionally, there were known issues with the maintenance of the apartment building. The high-profile plaintiffs’ attorneys asked the jury for in excess of $5,000,000.  After deliberating for less than two hours, the jury awarded a complete defense verdict.
