Jonathan N. Darnell

            Jonathan “Jon” Darnell was born in Houston, TX and spent his childhood in Aurora, CO.  His family moved to San Antonio, TX when Jon started high school and he has remained in San Antonio ever since.

            He earned a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at San Antonio in 1991 and then his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law in 1997.  Jon made the Dean’s List in many of his semesters in law school and earned a full tuition scholarship for his third year of law school by being selected to serve on the Editorial Board of the St. Mary’s Law Journal.

            Jon is admitted to practice in all Texas state courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Western and Southern Districts of Texas.  He is a Fellow of the Texas Bar Foundation and a member of the Texas Bar Association, the San Antonio Bar Association, the Defense Research Institute and the Texas Association of Defense Counsel.

            In his life outside of the practice of law, Jon is an accomplished drummer who has performed in countless venues across South Texas for over 25 years.  He also enjoys spending time with his wife and their two children.
